The Black Lava Trail offers an intriguing and adventurous experience near Mayon Volcano. After visiting the Green Lava, we proceeded to the Black Lava Trail, where we took a break and enjoyed refreshing buko juice offered by friendly locals. The trail itself involves a 30-minute hike through the black lava formations created by past volcanic eruptions. As we reached the top, we were rewarded with a majestic view of Mayon Volcano and could feel the warmth from the sun and volcanic activity. Additionally, we were able to admire the panoramic sight of Legazpi City. To make the journey back easier, the trail also offers a thrilling zip line option, allowing us to rest and enjoy the stunning views during the exhilarating descent. Overall, the Black Lava Trail provides a memorable adventure filled with natural wonders and thrilling moments.
